We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. How many layers of paint did you end up needing to do to get it that bright?
haha i don't remember how many layers i did, but half a tube of orange was gone by the time i finished

the rough shading fits cause you still can see that it's done with watercolor on the softer edges...
photographing such pics always takes a bit away - if you don't have a scanner or don't have access to one, try to photograph it a bit more parallel -- it's actually not that bad on this one, but some of your other pics look not that good through this way of presentation, even though they may be very well done, if you know what I mean
